The May 2026 issue of Railway Modeller celebrates several significant anniversaries, with a special commemorative booklet to mark 80 years of Peco. It is also 150 years since the birth of Sir William Stanier, the celebrated Chief Mechanical Engineer of the London Midland & Scottish Railway, for which Garry Hall describes how he modelled Stanier's streamlined Princess Coronation Pacific locomotive and the 'Coronation Scot' express train of 1937 in the new TT:120 scale, while we provide TT:120 scale drawings of these locomotives in their non-streamlined form which Stanier himself preferred! Finally, Jackie Kneeshaw, Chairman of the Gauge O Guild, marks the 70th anniversary of that organisation with a special Milepost feature.
Railway of the Month is Aston Cote, an OO gauge model of a proposed but never built rail link between Fairford and Cirencester in Gloucestershire, built by John Rose in the style of the well-known Pendon Museum layout. Other layouts featured include The Yard (a 7mm scale industrial scene with working remote-control cranes and lorries); Project New Street, an OO gauge cameo of part of Birmingham New Street station which won the 2025 Peco RAIL200 Model Layout Competition; and an OO9 cameo of the Ffestiniog Railway Boston Lodge engine shed, which can portray several periods in the line's long history.
Leading the new product reviews this month is the Hornby Dublo Deltic diesel in OO, featured on the magazine's cover, while other reviews include Evolution bogie coaches in OO from Rapido Trains UK, the Class 13 'Master and Slave' diesel shunter from Bachmann in OO, and North Eastern Railway hopper wagons both in OO by Accurascale and N by Graham Farish/Bachmann.

Think of 3D Secure as the online version of Chip & PIN when you're shopping instore.
Instead of using a PIN you register a secret password and a personal message. Created by Visa and Mastercard, it gives you an additional level of security.
3D Secure pages are controlled by your card issuing bank and not by the store you're shopping with. This is why all navigational links are removed from these pages. Registering is quick and a one-off process. Participating websites will prompt the registration page where you create your secret password and this remains the same whoever you shop with in the future. Will my address and payment information be secure?
Once we have your information, we’ll ensure we protect it with all of the appropriate safeguards. It’s important that you also take responsibility for protecting your account information. Make sure your password is strong, don’t share it with others, and try not to use the same one for lots of online accounts. Don’t send your password by email – we’ll never ask you to do so. We won’t ask you for your password information over the ‘phone; we’ll advise you on how to reset it.
Can you reset my password for me?
No, for security, we ask you to reset your password yourself. We wouldn’t ask you to share your password with us, but if you contact us we can advise on how to reset it.
Can I amend my delivery details in my account?
Yes you can log into your account and alter your delivery address. Please note that once your order is placed and payment confirmed it is not possible to change the delivery address so it is very important your details are kept up to date.

At FMC we update our stock in real-time on a daily basis so you always know what is in stock and available. We do not use a shadow stock system so everything is available.
We take great care to ensure that you receive your order in perfect condition and we seriously pride ourselves on our packaging. All products are carefully inspected and then boxed to insure you receive them in excellent condition.
We have five delivery options to ensure your product gets to you just the way you like it.
1. Royal Mail Tracked.
You will have the option at checkout.
Royal Mail Tracked 24 are only £5.99.
Royal Mail Tracked 48 are only £4.99.
2. Royal Mail Special Delivery.
You will have the option at checkout.

3. DPD Express Parcel (Next Day Delivery, Tracked & Insured)
DPD Next Day Delivery orders are only £8.99.
Next Day Delivery orders must be placed before 2pm.
Orders placed on a Friday will not be shipped until the next working day which is a Monday for Tuesday delivery. If the Monday is a Bank Holiday then it will be shipped on Tuesday for Wednesday delivery.
Once your order is packed and ready for dispatch we will email you a tracking reference. Logging into your FMC accounts you will also be able to obtain your tracking reference.

You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.
If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense.
If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.

Contract
When you place an order to purchase a product from Frome Model Centre we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you that we've dispatched that product to you (the "Dispatch Confirmation E-mail"). That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to you. Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed in a Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to have been dispatched do not form part of that contract.
